Starting in July, daily public tours of Merseburg Cathedral resume. Guests can discover the impressive Romanesque structure of the building, learn about backgrounds of historic personalities and their influence on the cathedral, and find out about the numerous myths and legends regarding the building – all of that on our tours.
We are very excited about welcoming visitors in person again to bring them closer to the cathedral's treasures and history.
Due to current guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, only a limited number of visitors is allowed participation in tours while keeping a safety distance. To track infection chains, collection of visitors’ data is needed. Therefore, we ask visitors interested in a public or individual tour to book in advance and in written form, including the needed information (surname, forename, address, telephone number), via Merseburg Cathedral’s Visitor Centre.
