With a family ticket, you and your family will receive discounted admission to the cathedral. We invite young cathedral explorers to become cathedral experts with our children’s audio guide or in activities organised by the KinderDomusMerseburch.
If you also want to take part in a guided tour of the cathedral, only the adults need pay the tour fee. Children can listen in for free.

Audio guide for children
Our chatty audio guide, the Merseburg raven, takes us through the history of the Merseburg Cathedral. Enthusiastically, proudly and in awe, the raven tells exciting stories about times gone by. The audio-guide tour begins with the short animated movie “Story of the Old Stone”, recounting tales of emperors and kings and the building of the cathedral 1000 years ago. Famous historical personalities talk about their time in Merseburg. Together with the Merseburg raven we discover treasures like the bronze tomb of Rudolf von Rheinfelden, solve the mystery of the mummified hand and listen to the sound of the Merseburg Incantations. Even Bishop Thilo von Trotha has a guest appreance and reveals the secret of the famous raven saga.

Many adventures can be found inside a 1,000-year-old cathedral. The KinderDomusMerseburch welcomes all children and their families to the exciting Middle Ages. There is much to do. We test our magical powers with the Merseburg Incantations, meet up with thievish ravens or learn about the lives and works of famous emperors, bishops and princes.
During our Family Days , families can go on adventures together.
Over the holidays, children can take part in our creative FerienAktionen. Die Plätze bei den FerienAktionen sind in erster Linie den Ferienkindern vorbehalten. Pro Kind erhält eine Begleitperson ein vergünstigtes Eintrittsticket inkl. Teilnahme an einer öffentlichen Domführung. Sie zahlen nur 9,00 € statt 12,50 €.
